For gay men and lesbians considering biological parenthood via alternative insemination (women, known or unknown donor), co-parenting or surrogacy (men).

Starting September 2005, Center Kids has reorganized its monthly program for gay parents planning biological parenthood. The new format includes three groups as follows:

PLANNING BIOLOGICAL PARENTHOOD FOR GAY MEN - For men considering, preparing for, or in the process of conceiving through surrogacy. This group primarily addresses surrogacy and sperm donation, including the associated legal, medical, financial, social and moral issues. The group is also an opportunity to get together with other gay men considering fatherhood, share information, provide mutual support, and to build a network of gay dads. 4th Wednesdays, 6:30-8 PM.

PLANNING BIOLOGICAL PARENTHOOD WOMEN'S GROUP - For women considering, preparing for, or currently in the process of conceiving through alternative insemination. Please drop by this bimonthly gathering to share your story, seek support and exchange information with others who are also taking this exciting journey to parenthood. 2nd & 4th Thursdays, 6:30-8 PM.

PARENTING PARTNERSHIPS - Coed group for couples and singles interested in the possibilities of creative family structures and who seek the presence and involvement of a father (for lesbians) or a mother (for gay men) in the lives of their children. Occasional speakers will include active co-parents as well as professionals in areas relevant to co-parenting and parenting in general, such as legal family agreements, childcare, finances and mediation. Couples and singles welcome. 2nd Wednesdays, 6:30-8 PM.
