Some closure....
The 777 was sitting in front of the big US shed at5.00pm today. G-VIIY an early
GE90 powered machine was hard to see under the overcast sky. Anyhow patience is
a virtue and I sat under the clouds for two hours spotting without pics, boo,
sniffle. Then the sun came out and bathed the airpot in soft evening light. 30
more minutes I thought and I must go.
At 7.20pm the Ba 777 started to move and to my good fortune taxiied the length
of 36C to take off on 18C. Wow, to coin one of JP's phrases I didn't shoot it I
killed it.
BA are flying the beast KCLT to EGLL (London Heathrow) as flight BA9163, EMPTY!
It must have been an expensive flight for BA.
I have uploaded an image in the photos/vc10er section of this site , I hope you
enjoy it as much as I did. She sounded great LOL!
