Pine Lake (pop. 610) is a virtual summer camp hidden in the wilds of Metropolitan Atlanta. Incorporated in 1936 as a retreat for those wishing to escape the city, it has grown into a community of artists, writers, musicians, and iconoclasts, and at 10 miles from downtown Atlanta is now considered an enviable "close-in" location in a city that extends 50 or more miles in all directions. We have our own mayor, city council, judge, police force, and maintenance workers, and of course, we have our beautiful little lake.

This group will provide a forum for Pine Lakers and other interested parties to talk about all aspects of Pine Lake. It's all right to complain here, but please note-- serious bad vibes should go elsewhere. My goal is to provide here safe space and most entertaining reading.
