Psalm 144 verse 12: "Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants and our DAUGHTERS will be like PILLARS carved to adorn a palace."

Matthew 5 verse 14: "YOU are the LIGHT of the world."

AND SO WE ARE DETERMINED TO BE YOUNG WOMEN WHO LIVE FOR CHRIST. WE ARE PILLARS OF LIGHT.

As of January 2005, Pillars of Light was officially established under the direction of the Holy Spirit by the ladies of Mount of Olives Church of God in Orange, NJ. The purpose of this group is to see Christ glorified in the lives of young women. We aim to become productive, fruit-bearing Christians that will take the Gospel of Jesus Christ seriously... with a desire to see others do the same.

Instead of focusing on the few opportunities to announce the kingdom of God to thousands of people on a mountaintop, we want to be able to meet another woman at a well for a drink of water, and be at a level where we will minister as Christ did. We work to reach a point when these seemingly meaningless events can become an opportunity to evangelize, an outlet for the Gospel, and an outpour of the love of God.
