Description

Greetings. This group serves as a bulletin board for the Philosophy Cafe at Harvard Book Store (PCHBS, formerly the Davis Square Philosophy Cafe). Open to all, the PCHBS meets on the third Wednesday of the month, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Harvard Book Store, 1256 Mass Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA, in the lower level of the store (the used book section downstairs). The first meeting is April 16, 2008. The suggested donation is $3 to cover the cost of the essential philosophical ingredients: coffee, tea and cookies.

The PCHBS is co-sponsored by the Harvard Book Store (www.harvard.com) and the Center for Naturalism (www.centerfornaturalism.org). The moderator is Tom Clark, director of the CFN, who can be reached at twc at naturalism dot org. Note that we will not meet during July or August.

To simplify matters, all topics and readings will be posted at least two weeks in advance only at www.naturalism.org/philo_cafe.htm, not here. This group will function as a forum for feedback and a way to carry on the discussion. Please post here your thoughts on recent topics, ideas for further readings and new topics, how to improve the meetings, and any other pertinent thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks for your participation, and I look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon.

Tom Clark
