Welcome to Pens on Fire! This group is about peace, love and harmony. Ok. That's a lie. We are more like family.

This group is about writing.Writing isn't always pretty. I'm not interested in having the biggest group on the internet. My hope is to have a group who wants to work together and polish skills to the point of publication. I'd rather have a small group that is achieving its individuals dreams than a big group that is too overwhelming.

Since I started the group in December 2005, I have met many great people through this group. I have finished my first piece of fiction that is slowly but surely suffering the editing process. My good friend Justin has finished his first major work. We're going to pursue publication. We encourage all of you to pursue that or whatever your dreams are.

We're here to help and share. If you have any questions then let me know now. Respect the group and the group can help you achieve great things if you want it to.

We have poets, playwrights, novelists and recreational writers. Please stop in and look around. We're all figuring this group out as we go. We're open to expansion and improvement ideas.

There are a few points I would like everyone to respect(hate the words rules, I'm not your mother).

1. Respect the other members of this group. If you have a problem with someone then leave it outside the group.

2. No negativity. You can give a critique and not cut someone down excessively.

3.Respect the writing posted here. The writing should not be copied outside of the site without the expressed consent of the author.

4. This group is about writing. Outside topics should be avoided.

5. If you have concerns about a member, please contact me. Explain the situation.

6. If you have problems or something else you would like to see added to the policy, let me know. I started this group to help us become stronger writers.
