Greetings.

If I recall the train shop at Strasburg is the weekend of October 13th & 14th.  I'm game for it.  I have some vehicles I can add and some building kits.  I also have lots of track and some trains.  Can we make a bigger layout than at UTE?  I have a table, 8'x4', track and some green plates.  I think we could at least make a bigger train yard.  I can bring the train service shed and some other things.  How much room will we have there?

Sorry to take so long to say anything but the church in Lancaster fell through.  However, I am working on something else.  I'll keep you all posted.

Yes it is the 13th and 14th Show Web Page with set up on Friday the 12th.

We have plenty of room to make a larger layout.  How high is your table?  Our tables are 30 inches high.

My table is 30" high.  How do we want to expand the layout?  Keep the current plan & add a table to one edge or change the whole thing?

For those of you who may not be reading LUGNET two significant announcements were made today in the world of trains.

The premier issue of RailBricks came out today.  RailBricks Announcement   RailBricks is the first magazine dedicated to LEGO Trains.  Even if your not a hard core train head there is still a lot to enjoy so I encourage every one to download it.  Oh yeah, and one of the articles is from me. :p

Unfortunately that monumental announcement is made  bitter sweet  by this post on the future of 9 volt.  Future of 9v Trains
9v is now officially dead as a Door Nail.  We knew it was inevitable but it still sucks to hear it.:((

On the bright side LEGO is developing an entirely new system with the involvement of AFOLs.  Hopefully it wont suck as bad as the IR trains and will actually be useful clubs. (:|

Cale

wait I thought lugnet was a place for people to post pics of thier
MOCs and then whine because nobody commented on it. They have news
on lugnet now?

Lego does so many stupid things. Change this, change that You
morons. Why not change the brick too?

I'm no huge train fan, but lets face fact. ALL those track and
power packs, motors etc will become useless or too valuable and rare
to use. Now we have something else coming? what? That's it, I'm
not buying anymore lego.

well at least this week anyway,,that'll show'em

I wanted to warn everyone that I hurt my back at work and am laid up.
Hopefully it will nto be long, but may be if things don't get better.
So I may not be able to get to the show at the RR museum.

on a lighter note anyone with working 9volt motors now have an item
they can sell on bricklink for 50 times thier worth in two years.

I bought some of those sets with C-3PO and they ripped me off. I got
four of them with this shiny metal 3po that doesn't work well and its
awfully heavy too. I gave them to goodwill ;)

Set up hours for the show are Friday 12:00 to 5:30 I'm planing to get
there around 2:30.

Saturday 7:30 to 9:00 is also available for set up.

Show hours are Saturday 9:00 to 5:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00

Tear down is from 4:00 to 6:00 Sunday

Since I'm not sure what tables I'll have available I have no set
track plan. We'll come with something at the show.

For any one who is planing to come and wanting to know what to bring.
Buildings, vehicles, trains, track, scenery ,tables are all welcome.

That may be part of it. A full city makes for more people coming
through. It may not be their design to do that, but it may help
guarantee a good public turnout, but it may backfire if people are

Now that things have settled down I can finally focus on what's realy
important in life, LEGO.

So who is up for the November meeting? Matt? Dave? Mike? Cale? Matt?
Kjeld?

Any suggestions for the meeting? Parts draw? build contest? or?

Take a look at the fire Station on top.  That big clear piece would be nice for a lot of things.  Also some bley posts.

See the trans orange big bricks?  The fish might work as well.  Of course the dinosuars are cool, but the cave piece has promise for large mountains

It has light and sound.  The sound is a cash register going "KACHING!"
