Just to tell you all that I will be going to New Orleans Oct. 8 - 22 to visit our daughter and her family. I haven't seen them really for a couple of years. They called a couple of hours ago (Noon Thursday) and said thay did not have much problem with the wind and rain from the hurricane. God is good. Birch Rambo
To log on to the website you have to have to create an account. In other words:
1. Click where it says "new users click here to register".
2. Make up your yahoo screen name, etc.
3. After you have registered and signed in, go to "My Groups".
4. On that page find the "membership wizard".
5. Follow those instructions. That will link the Peace Presbyterian group membership I already created for you to the new user name you just made up.
I hope this all makes sense! If you still cannot get it to work just email me with your user name and password. I'd be happy to log in as you and set your account up.

I apologize that I was not at the meeting on Tuesday night. I was in Atlanta on business and had to stay a day longer. I will be able to attend the workshop on the 19th. To access the group email @ yahoo, what do we put for name and password? I am getting the emails and could not download/open the Joe Swisher file.
I am checking in from the office, and also reminding us about our meeting this evening, Tuesday, at 7:00 -- one hour, I promise! Come prepared to share ideas for programs and goals we want to see happen at Peace in the next few years.
Thanks to everyone for checking in. If you want to log onto the web site you will have to go to yahoogroups.com and register as a new user. Otherwise, you can still get these emails without accessing files, polls, conferencing, etc. stored on the yahoo groups webpage.
I have class at CSU from 4:30 - 7:30, so I won't be able to make the meeting. If there are any handouts to be scanned, please leave one in my mailbox in the office.
These are the only folks who have not yet checked in:
Dawn Malcolm; Lisa Smith; Margaret Kufen; Ken Every-Andrews; Austin Tempest; Katie Hinson; Kyle Buzzard; Paul Schreiber

I am receiving. I am not sure I will be able to attend Tuesday evening.
Tony leaves with the Navy on Saturday and so we have much preparation to do.

Joe, I must be doing something wrong. Everytime I click on the URL address, it says I'm not a member. I clicked 'join this group' and join but still nothing. HELP!

I thought we had a good meeting on Saturday -- shorter than originally planned, but still productive. Please find attached the list of SWOTs -- strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats -- that we came up with. Also at the end of that list are the key words we thought might be used in our new mission statement. For those of us who were not able to attend, we agreed that each of us would take those key words and try to write our own mission statements. The idea is to e-mail them to the Yahoo site that Joe set up for us, which sends them out to everyone else. Then, with several in hand, we will try to put together one ideal mission statement for Peace Church. Our next meeting is tomorrow evening at 7:00. I know it follows Saturday's awfully closely, but it is the only night available. We will not work on the mission statement tomorrow night. Rather we will brainstorm goals and ideas for future ministries or improvements at Peace. Let's try to finish the mission statement at our Saturday, October 19 meeting (9:00 a.m.).
Hi all, Just a note to let you know that I received the info. Thanks Joe. See ya
at church. Linda

I am attachjiing the files I uploaded earlier so you can have them even if
you are having trouble logging onto the site. I like the acronym idea.

Hi to All,
We were wondering how you would feel about making our mission statement an
acronym. Such as the one we asked Joe to put in from Silverdale. We don't
have to use that one, as a matter of fact, we thought it might be neat to
use
PEACE. It might make it easier for us to recall it and share it when asked.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Brian

How do we access this on the web? Everytime I try to enter, it asks for a
login name and password.
Thanks

Hi Everybody,
This is a great idea, Joe! Thanks for getting us started! The eventual
use of this forum for the congregation will solve part of the problem
with our dysfunctional phone tree that Wanda and I have been trying to
figure out how to fix. I kept telling her that somehow we need to use
email for those who have it... and here is the answer! Thanks again,
Katie

Hi!
I scanned and uploaded a few files for the strategic planning
committee. I hope you don't all feel overwhelmed with email for
this group. We decided to set this group up to make communication
as easy as possible for the strategic planning team. Please take
time to say hi to everyone by sending an email to
PeacePresbyterian@yahoogroups.com
After our work is finished we can open this forum up to everyone in
the church if we want to enhance our ability to contact the
congregation. I'll see you at church!
