2008-09 SPACE program

Saga University Program for Academic Exchange (SPACE) program is a short-term program designed for international students.Students can take not only Japanese language courses and field work on Japanese Affairs, but also specialized courses, which are taught in English, and independent study.

Eligibility

Applicants to the SPACE program must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students at 3rd – 6th semester
  2. English proficiency which is indicated by TOEFL-ITP  Score > 530
  3. Basic skill on Japanese language
  4. Minimum GPA (IPK) of 3,25

Period of Study

The duration of study in the program is one year or until the middle of August at the earliest. Admission is in October. The program divides the year into two semester which is Fall Semester (October 1st to march 31st) and Spring Semester (April 1st to September 30th)

Tuition Fees and Living Cost

Accepted applicant are exempted from tuition fees. The living cost and the travel allowance is covered by JASSO scholarship program. Please note that not all of students accepted in SPACE program will get JASSO Scholarship.

Registration

If you are interested in to join the SPACE Program 2010-2011 please register your name at Office of International Affairs before 11 November 2009. Please note that you just need to register your name, any documents and registration form will be collected later.
