Description

Clothing (apparel) pattern design. For
(mostly) home sewers who are into
drafting their own clothing patterns. We
will discuss computer patternmaking
software, Bonfit, Golden Rule (Lutterloh),
paper & pencil drafting, and all forms of making
patterns. Also methods of making purchased
patterns fit, dress forms, rulers, books,
classes, workshops, and all the gadgets
and widgits out there for making and
fitting patterns. Professionals are welcome,
too.

Hi Jinjer and thank you for your reply. I figured I'd need to cut a short muslin, then test fit the neckline, but I didn't know exactly how low I should go

Beth, You should decide the new neckline depth based on what's flattering for you. If you have a scoop neck garment you like, measure the distance from THAT

hi it is hard to give an exact amount measure yourself and then cut a small piece of fabric out to the size you have ct and try it against your body I always

How deep you make the scoop depends on personal taste. You could measure the person the pattern is for and cut the pattern piece out to see where it falls on
