The Solano Parenting Partnership is a network of parenting education providers in Solano County dedicated to supporting parents in the difficult and wonderful work of raising children.
This listserve was created as an interim response to providers' requests for a "Virtual Library" of professional resources for parenting education providers. This group is intended to be a forum for parenting education providers in Solano County to share information about resources, trainings and best practices in parenting education and family support.
All posts should include a strong parenting connection and might include:
* Notices of professional development opportunities related to parenting education, in fields such as family support, teaching & learning strategies, supporting diversity, evaluating outcomes, child development, mitigating risk factors, etc.
* Requests for (or offers of) the loan of parenting curricula, materials such as toys & manipulatives, or space in which to hold classes.
* Requests for (or offers of) trained facilitators to collaborate in implementing classes and programs.
* Funding opportunities for parenting education programs.
* Assessment and evaluation tools for parenting programs.
* Links to recent research in the field of parenting education.
