Paper Traders is for individuals interested in connecting with others and building a creative community. We consider art to be an expression of who we are and can become. Art is the means by which we explore the depths of our personal experience, our vehicle for play, and the voice of our deepest selves. This group is about holding a vision, feeling the spark, and letting the creative juices flow. We are about camaraderie, wit, taking risks, and keeping the fire alive, and most importantly about honoring the voice that sings within us all.
We share our creative efforts in addition to techniques, resources, feedback, and insights. We encourage conversation about art, the art process, and what it means to be an artist. A sense of humor is a plus! We display our creative efforts, engage in personal trades and participate in group swaps and collaborative projects. Our activities include the exchange of artist trading cards (ATCs), altered objects, assemblages, 3-D creations, journals, mixed-media collages, and all forms of mail art.
We are looking for talented artists to join our community. We welcome those who have an artistic vision that is unique and who will bring new ideas and a willingness to share. When applying, please direct us to a website where we can view your work or submit digital examples of your work. What we want in our members is imagination, inspiration, innovation, originality, and quality.
Our moderators are Keron Lee, Connie Holso, and Beckie Holso.
