Welcome to Papermaking - a forum for hand papermakers.

This list is dedicated to advancing papermaking skills and improving the quality of handmade paper. Our members maintain files, databases, and other resources with this purpose in mind. List members include professional papermakers, newbies, and lots of folks in between. We welcome all who have an interest in making handmade paper.

Need info on a particular papermaking topic? Want to know about the list in general? Be sure look in our “Files” especially the “Reference” and “Newbie” folders. The database, photos, and links sections are also good resources, so please take a look.

The Rules: Be respectful of others; stay on topic and only post items and questions of interest to our hand papermaking community. Chain letters, prayer requests, virus/internet warnings, off-topic forwards, and flaming are cause for immediate removal from the list. NOTE: Advertising, commercial announcements, and promotions of papermaking-related products are permitted on Fridays only. Please put “COMM” in the subject line, give a brief summary, and provide a link for further information - limit one per person/company. Vendors may mention a product in response to a specific question, and are welcome to add a link to their web site in “Links”. We also have a garage sale file where members can post papermaking items for sale or trade.

Personal communications, thank-yous, congratulations, and chitchat should go to the individual members, not the entire list. Members may join our sister OT Paper list for off-topic chat.

Finally, instructions for unsubscribing are included in the footer of each list message. Please do not post unsubscribe requests to the list.
