This group is dedicated to the ACTIVE assistance of our fellow
pagan/wiccan/druid/etc. brothers and sisters who are currently
incarcerated in the New York State Department of corrections. Though
networking, volunteering, and donations this group seeks to give aid
to a part of the pagan community that most people ignore, don't know
about, or are uniformed about. Our pagan brothers and sisters who are
incarcerated have it much harder than us "free birds". As a recent
(1/26/09) pagan released from prison I have firsthand knowledge of the
biasness, hardships, bigotry, and outright discrimination that our
fellow pagans behind the wall suffer on a day-to-day basis.
This group's purpose is to not only network, discuss, and search for
aid; but to be an active part in making a difference to our brothers
and sisters who don't have it as "easy" as we do. They need donations
(money and ritual items), Volunteer Ministers, Legal Advocacy, and a
strong support network for them while they're in there and once they
get out.
IF WE SAY WE LIVE AS PAGANS/WICCANS/WITCHES...THEN LETS ACT AS SUCH
AND LEND A HAND TO THOSE WHO SOCIETY HAS TURNED THEIR BACKS ON.......
