Hi everyone, not sure if I've done an intro yet or not, or if you even have
them. Firstly thanks for the acceptance into the group.
I love poetry, reading in general, herbal lore etc.
I've actually done some poetry and may post some soon.

One day your dreams will die,
Your faith might crumble,
Your loves will become as ghosts,
And your hope becomes dimmer…
…but the seed can grow from nothing,
And your faith can be rebuilt,
And the ghosts are there to teach you,
And the hope can come back, stronger.

For the brain is dim, that closes,
And the heart is lost, that lies,
And the will is how it chooses,
And the soul encompasses all;
For our every lives remind us,
We are more than we know,
And that love is all around us,
And inner peace will make it so.

Enjoy!
My old poem rewritten and corrected a bit ..../8 parts/
In the ocean there are some cold waves
and Nathalie I know them not
They never cease to crush over the rocks
they crushing over rocks
they pushing hard in vain , insane
over the sands and over the rocks,
over wrecks and over ME
I feel icy cold , oh , Nathalie
cold waves are really really cold
they could make even you to frown
i am in despair Nathalie
the waves are very very angry on me .
they reaching me
my heart is crying .......
my prayers reached to the god .
his shadow darkened the sun
he told to ocean to calm
the waves were subjugated shortly .
i spoke to celestial with a spark of hope :
" Those waves are intolerably cruel ,
they break my life in two ."
Celestial smiled , " Rest and refresh .
I am sure you ll show them you re te best .
Tell them about the Almighty God , about you
and whom you love .
i listened impatiently , I was in awe ."
waves are like people
but way too cold.
they couldn't listen about love , oh not.
I told them all about Nathalie
and thought the waves will let me
go free .The waves declined to helping me .
I was in despair -celestial heard my plea....
evil spells were revoked .
I smiled happily , calamities ended
the dreamer is free.

Let go
When they all begin to go,
That is when all the tears will flow,
And when your heart begins to crack,
That’s when you know they’ll never come back.
When the whole garden fills with weeds,
You think how pointless to plant seeds,
And when you finally break;
The days go fast and you cannot wake!
When there is a clear angel in the sky,
It’s your time to say goodbye,
Yet as you feel the warm life shine,
You spin in infinity, with all that’s divine.

Some of the best that I have ever read or wrote on my own was without rhyme.

It does, I can't actually remember what to plant under a full moon, but I guess
anything goes. I had an email recently that weeds and things were ment to be
taken up under a waning moon.

I do need to look deeper into it.

fine  ,  but  that  '  is  actually  one  of  the  rules  of
poetry  writing ,  to  add some rhyming  to  poems  .  I don  not
mean  that  poems  should  be  100  %  rhymed  ,  but  a  touch  ,
a  bit  of  rhymin   MUST  be  .

I am sure that you know, poetry does not have to rhyme to be poetry.

Some of the best that I have ever read or wrote on my own was without rhyme.

It is a shame that you ignore poetry that does not rhyme, because I have
found that poetry without rhyme is more within and deeper to the pain or
joy the writer is trying to show the reader.

With the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the most luxurious ship of all
time, Titanic, I figured what a better place to hunt ghosts than here at the
exact time she went down on April 15, 1912 at 2:20 A. M.. See most of the souls
didn't die under the water, but above the water as most of them died from
hypothermia. So now I am on my way to the site of the tragedy in the middle of
the Atlantic ocean.
As we get closer to the site of the tragedy that occurred here, I can't help but
to feel a sense of sadness and foreboding, as my mind races to think of what
those poor souls went through on that horrific night. All the anguish and
anxiety, as people faced death right in the eye. And the bad thing they knew
this and they knew there was no hope.
The pain the passengers must have felt as husband and wives and children said
good-bye, and saying good-bye for the final time. I have a hard time trying to
fathom, all the emotion that must have been felt on that terrible night. So, I
want to try and capture some of that emotion that has been imprinted on time
here, so that's why I am here going to a place that is not very desirable. How
does one describe a place like this? It wouldn't be right not to feel reverence
and respect for those that lost their lives here. I, myself, would not want to
be in that situation because I really can't say how I would handle it.
Soon we arrive at the place where the biggest disaster in maritime history took
place. It is so ironic that it took something like the sinking of Titanic to
change maritime law so all ships were required to carry enough life boats to
accommodate all passengers. I cringe when I think what it took to open man's
eyes to this problem. The cost was fifteen hundred lives, but the good thing was
it never happened again.
Right now it is April 15th about 1:30 A. M. and I must get ready to do my ghost
hunting. I take out my digital recorder to pick up spirit voice I myself can't
hear called EMF. I also have with me a K2 meter that picks up changes in
electromagnetic changes thought to occur in the presence of a spirit. I also
have a sprit box, where a spirit can manipulate a word data base with their
energy within the box, making words I can understand. Also I have a thermal
camera, which sees heat and if there is a spirit I might can pick up an image if
their temperature is different than the ambient air, and a typical video camera
so I am well prepared.
It is now 2:20 A. M., and this is the time 100 years that Titanic was in our
world, then she sank into a dark watery tomb. At this time the bell of the boat
rings and we take a minute of silence to pay homage to those that lost their
lives here so tragically so long ago.
The feeling here seems to have drastically changed, it is so cold and there
feels like static electricity all around. My hair is standing on end and I have
goose bumps. I'm totally convinced I am feeling them.

By my feelings, I know they are around me, the first thing I want to do is show
reverence and respect, so I say," I am here to communicate with you that is all.
Please don't be afraid of me because I won't hurt you. You are past that now. I
honor and respect each one of you for the sacrifice you were forced to make by
nothing you did. I feel fate dealt you an unfair hand. I wish I could turn back
the hands of time."
I check my thermometer and it is registering 45 degrees, then all of a sudden
the temperature falls to 30 degrees, this tells me I am in the presence of those
I so respect. Then my K2 meter starts going nuts with the flashing lights, I
know they are here for sure. I am not afraid, as I start to feel overwhelming
sadness and despair. This must be the feelings of those that died so tragically
so long ago. I pick up my digital recorder and I ask" Is there any message you
want to tell me, then the light on my recorder starts to flash, telling me there
is response. So I immediately play the recording back and there as plain as day
I can hear several voices saying" Help us"
Now that does make my hair stand on end, but I feel no fear, only sadness as to
what these poor souls went through. I then think it is the perfect time to use
the sprit box, I pick it up and say." I can't explain to you why you had to make
such a sacrifice, but if you want to tell me anything, you can do so using this
box. I will be able to hear you." Then logical words start coming through. The
first word is "COLD" The second word is" Dark" This makes total sense. Then the
sentence" Pray for us" Now that does strike me as sad.
After that I conclude my ghost hunt thinking I have enough proof and I don't
want to bother these poor souls, but I do know I was in touch with the entities
of the watery abyss

I think rhyming and non rhyming poetry has its place. Rhyming works great for
magickal intentions. Some of my rhyming poems sound too whimsical for the
subject so I rework them until they work as non rhyming.

The chap who does not like rhyming poetry cropped up on the Worlds of
Fantasy egroup a few days ago proclaiming himself to be a genius, and
generally making himself unpopular. I recognise the email address. If he
kicks off here too, probably best to ignore him.

My very wise poetry teacher once explained to me that if a poet is the
slave of the rhyming scheme, the poem will be awful. However, where the
rhyms have a natural flow, they can add poise, grace, a sense of
completion. The presence or absence of rhyme is no measure of a poem,
any more than whether it is metered or in a recognised form.

For 'slave of the rhyming scheme' see at least half of the contemporary
music scene :-)

Pride is not a sin!

Pride can make you feel great... that's the point of it. Imagine if we felt
proud of ourselves every day of our lives~ a slightly impossible task, but a
nice dream none the less. We are told to believe that Pride is a sin, wrong and
evil. something we should not feel and feel ashamed for doing so. I have felt
Proud of myself only twice in my life! But maybe there are others who never
have, I don't know.....probably because it's one of those things which gets
overlooked.

I have been proud of an old achievement, I did it all myself an the feeling I
had afterwards was so amazing I felt so happy that I'd accomplished something~by
myself, for myself and I actually achieved it.

Today I tried something that I had previously been afraid of. I don't know why,
but today I figured to hell with it....and as time went on I had to remind
myself, this is me doing this~and I can do it.

Too often I think fear holds us back....like when you see someone grip someone
tightly around the waist-only it's far more stronger and [if you let it] it can
push you to the floor and make sure your left there. I'm not going to be afraid
anymore~I need more to hell with it days :) I need more self believe, which
stems from fear-not letting ANYONE take it from me......They can have my love
and my anger at times, but they shall never take my fear. It is a dark chariot
racer that both spurs me on and slows me down~But it is MINE, I own it...no-one

Hi Lavender Moon -
It's really easy to get caught up in words and concepts. Pride, sin, fear -
these are just concepts.

Let go for a second, and see what happens. It's easier to see why this is
helpful when you go deeply into the meanings. Pride is comparison of one thing
to another, heavy connotations of doing something good and feeling a certain way
about it. Sin, well that's full of religious meanings of good and evil too, and
how we're supposed to feel about it.

So you're conditioned from the time you are little, with all these concepts.
It's all nonsense. A book you might find helpful is called The Four Agreements.
It could help you let go of these silly things.

My question to you is basic. Beside what you describe below- can you tell me of
some other times that you felt good in your life, not related to pride?

Have a great day!

My Dear Damodar Blastwing, I have held my tongue for months as the last thing I
want to do is upset anyone but now it must be said. I do not even attempt to
read your Posts any more, interesting and informative though they might be,
simply because of your style of writing. I hesitate to say that it reeks of
