Description
The Pacifica Foundation was launched by Lew Hill, Eleanor McKinney and a small group of collegues from the Bay Area in 1946. It was ground breaking project, advocating freedom of speech, and grew into a network of five radio stations, KPFA, KPFK, WBAI, WPFW and KPFT.

The purpose of this webpage is to share historical documents on Pacifica Foundation. Many of the files and photos contained within are from the Lew Hill Project of the Lasiewicz Foundation, a California non-profit 501c3. This project was launched in 2002 for the purposes of locating, preserving and protecting historical and corporate documents of the Pacifica Foundation. It is one of many Pacifica collections in the United States. Persons who wish to contribute documents and share historical information are free to add their items to this website.
