Dear Students, Every day that the legislature does not act, the state further loses its ability to recover from our current fiscal crisis. We are in a state of emergency and need your help! The Assembly has already done their work to pass a budget and all eyes lie on the Senate, where only one more Republican vote is needed to pass the budget and be forwarded to Governor Schwarzenegger. The two most likely to act are Senators Dave Cox and Abel Maldonado, from Senate Districts 1 and 15, respectively.
