Welcome to POCH: Ethnically Diverse Homeschoolers

This group has been formed for people of color of any ethnicity who homeschool and are located in Middle Tennessee. POCH will provide playgroups, field trips, support groups for parents and teens, and various other activities.

The purpose of POCH is to provide an environment for children of color to connect with others who look like them. POCH is in place to assist parents with enriching their children's educational life with activities that speak to the unique experiences of diverse cultures. This is not meant to take place of regular play dates, field trips and various other activities. It is just a way to let People of Color know there are more of us out there homeschooling! It is also to provide a support group for the parents as well!

This is an announce-chat list. If you have homeschool questions, "homeschool" items for sale, would like to coordinate a field trip or play date, and so-on post the email here and all on the list will receive it.

POCH is a parent driven organization. Because Middle Tennessee encompasses a wide area of the state, POCH activities are not centralized. POCH members are encouraged to plan activiites that are convient to them and other members are free to attend.
