We are the Christian young adults, both on and off campus, of the Church in Pittsburgh.
Praise the Lord for His rich and growing Body!!
This group was created to stimulate fellowship among the young saints of Pittsburgh, with this S.P.A.M. motto in mind:
Spiritually
Profitable
Amalgamating
Mail
This motto we follow as a discretionary guideline for posting group messages. We should ask ourselves of each message-to-post:
1. Is it spiritually profitable?
2. Is it amalgamating (unifying)?
Mail that disses somebody fails the first AND the second one. (Not that we've sent or we'll send any of those.) Mail meant for only one or two persons might not satisfy either one, unless the sender might profit from others' input. Mail that asks for help on anything including mundane stuff satisfies #2, so is good.
GEEK mails are fun for some and marginally satisfies #2, for the "[Geeks] shall inherit the Earth!" (misquoted verse). It is advised that senders prepend the subject of Geek mails with "{GEEK ALERT}" (minus the quotes).
Finally, redundancy should be avoided. It helps to reduce the size of mails if a sender's reply only quotes sufficient content of previous message(s) to provide context.
