Whether you are a Christian who writes or edits, or a Christian writer or editor, or not sure of the difference between these two, you are welcome here in the Fellowship of Professional Christian Writers & Editors.

This group aims to fill a need that seems to be missing in many Christian writing forums: There's a difference between writing for free for ministry purposes, and giving your writing away because you think it's prideful or a sin to get paid to write. Writers, just like any other professional, deserve to be paid (well) for what we do!

Sure, "you can't take it with you," but does the phone company accept mere "exposure"? "Exposure" is what so many writers are being offered, by start-ups that aren't even exposed enough to offer exposure. There is nothing wrong with writing for free if you feel so led, but don't let yourself get taken advantage of! This is not being greedy; this is reasonable compensation for your services. Editors are facing similar situations, often offered next to nothing for taking quality time to edit or proofread at length.
