--P.A.T.H. Philosophies--
Parents have a constitutional right and responsibility to provide the best education for each of their children. For families who choose home education, this commitment is made easier with the support of other homeschooling parents.

P.A.T.H. is an inclusive, community of homeschooling families providing support and resources for people who have chosen to educate their families at home. Members have varied backgrounds, as well as varied political and religious beliefs. Members have co-oped together in order to share the responsibilities of the group. P.A.T.H. is based solely on volunteerism. Members participation enhances the homeschooling community, enriching the experiences of all involved. If you are interested in providing resources or organizing field trips or classes... just do it! (There are helpful guidelines found on our website, www.pathhomeschool.com). We believe that as home educators, we already lead full and busy lives and therefore, will make every attempt to keep duties to a minimum.

We believe it is best to keep the family together whenever possible, even though it is sometimes necessary to offer opportunities which may separate the family (such as age appropriate field trips, ladies night out, etc.).

Members participation in the political process is encouraged in order to safeguard our right to home educate our family.

Communication in P.A.T.H. is mainly through the internet and monthly newsletter. In our forum hosted at Yahoo you will find a section for files of interest as well as a calendar and archives of our previous discussions. If you do not have e-mail or access to the internet, you may sign up for a free account at any branch of the Public Library.
