Description

Welcome to PAR-FORE e-Discussion Forum!

Parliamentarians’ Forum on Economic Policy Issues (PAR-FORE) has been formed at the behest of five Parliamentarians, cutting across party lines, to facilitate discussions on a periodic basis among MPs on core economic policy issues, reflected in and out of parliament and media. The forum is non-partisan and informal.

It is being hosted by Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS), a non-profit making and a leading civil society organisation working on basic economic issues for over two decades.

The meetings of PAR-FORE are held during the time when Parliament is in session. In order to facilitate continuous interactions among MPs, it was decided in the second meeting of PAR-FORE (held on 22 December 2005) to establish an e-discussion forum.

The PAR-FORE e-discussion forum serves as a platform to exchange and communicate news and views on key economic issues like trade, competition, regulatory reforms, investment and their cross-linkages.

Articles and news on relevant and contemporary issues are periodically posted on this forum to serve the dual purpose of:
# Updating MPs with current information, and
# Facilitating discussion on interesting topics

We look forward to your active participation at the forum.
