The Oxlade Family History Group researches and shares information on the OXLADE Clan worldwide. The photo to the right is of Widmer Farm, home to one Oxlade Line from 1711 to 1822. The adjoining 12th-century Chapel and Crypt is probably the oldest building in the parish of Marlow. It is an undercroft consisting of a room about twenty feet square with columns supporting the chapel above. The two Mushrooms or Straddle Stones seen near the front of house were once used as stumps under Granaries to prevent rats raiding the stores.
