Hi everyone! Here's a bit of information some of you might find interesting…
I've been playing around with the concept of setting up a Facebook-style page
where religion-free followers of Jesus can setup their own profiles and enjoy
conversation with other like-minded people on the journey. This is not a
replacement for the TruthForFree.com website but a supplement to it.

This is uncharted territory for me in terms of setup, but with all the great
utilities available to WordPress users (the program I use to create this
website), it shouldn't be too difficult to make happen… In fact, development has
already begun and the beta test version of the website is now LIVE!!! The first
night I decided to go for it, I was up at 1am and didn't stop working on the
site until about 6am, had time for an hour of sleep, and then up again to get
ready to go to work (my regular day job)! I basically followed the same pattern
throughout the weekend and continue to work hard to get things working properly.

I think this is gonna be fun… My hope is to make the site self-sustaining for
the most part; requiring little to no moderation on my part, but hopefully just
as easy to use as more popular sites like Facebook. The site will also be fully
connected with other popular social networks so you can do things like share
posts to your Facebook wall or send Tweets through your Twitter account! And,
just like Facebook, you'll be able to upload photos (currently only one at a
time – but unlimited), participate in live discussions, invite friends, chat
live with users, post videos links from your favorite sites (like YouTube.com),
and much more! The site will also be secure, with spam protection, email
safeguarding, bot-attack prevention, and other deterrents to keep unwanted pests
out. You'll also be able to manage your own profile page and adjust your privacy
settings (similar to the way you do it on Facebook) so you decide who is allowed
to see the information on your profile.

Again, this will basically be a trial run as I'm not quite sure if I'm biting
off more than I can chew (hehehe). The new link and domain name are setup and
you can access them now! I hope you will setup a profile and try it out. If
you're not on the TruthForFree FeedBurner mail list yet, get on it (sign up on
the menu at the right of main website). I will let everyone know when there are
updates to the site.
