A site for SERIOUS students and historians of The Civil War in Missouri, in particular the guerrilla war on the Missouri-Kansas border involving William C. Quantrill, "Bloody Bill" Anderson and others, as well as members of their bands. We will also explore the opposition, Union regulars, Missouri militia and Kansas Jayhawkers. Some discussion of the Kansas Border War of the 1850's is possible. The main focus will be on Frank and Jesse James, The Younger brothers, family members and associated gang members. The focus will be more on history, though some popular culture links may be discussed and maybe a little genealogy. This site is NOT for those trying to argue in favor of "survival" stories or some postwar treasure yarns. There are other sites for this.
