Laurent,

One option you have is add a thermoflece under your wet suit this will
add in your thermal protection. These can be bought at your local dive store
or over the internet. if you go to http://www.oregonscuba.com
<http://www.oregonscuba.com> and click on links then click on gear
catalogs you will find several resources to buy from, of the links listed I
feel your best bet will be performance diver.

Hi all,

Thanks for your kindness at the meeting yesterday. It was fun to be with
you. People are really nice with new comers. After the Xmas party, there
was no doubt that we will become members.

Regarding the next dive in Edmund, I don't own yet a dry suit and I'm
bit concerned that a 7mm won't be enough. I dove with this in November
and I got cold after 20-30 minutes. I'm affraid it will be worse this
time.

Does anybody dive without a dry suit ?

Thanks for sharing your experience

Laurent

Hmmm,

You shouldn't be getting cold that quickly. Is the suit tight? If it's
loose you'll get to much water movement in the suit. You might also
consider a diveskin under the wetsuit. Many people will tell you that a
skin won't help with thermo properties of the wetsuit, but I ALWAYS wore one
under my wetsuits and 1) it seemed warmer to me, and 2) it made it easier to
get the wetsuit on.

the 2 pieces kind they rent at Diver Paradise in L.O.
so it's 14mm on the torso

Laurent,

As I thought about this, I remembered that Tina Reeves (she was sitting just
behind you at the meeting last night). She has a drysuit and still dives in
a wetsuit most of the time. She's more comfortable in the wetsuit.

Laurent,

We have many people in the club that dive in 7mm wetsuits. Just recently
Todd Cliff and Clyde DeMoss bought drysuits but they were always "wet"
divers in the past. Matthew Hsu and Jeff Smith both dive regularly and they
dive "wet" as well.

Question, is your 7mm wetsuit two piece or one piece?

Hello all,

Well I'm sending this message to several distribution lists. Dive Club
Officers, Dive Club Members and the Club List Server. I just wanted to say
thanks to everyone involved in last nights meeting. I for one thought that the
"new officers" (ie: Todd Cliff and Dan Griffin) did a GREAT job in their
presentations.

Good job guys!!

Ellen,

Thanks for the post. No, I wasn't aware of the repairs to the parking (just
what we need a smaller lot). I'm taking the liberty of forwarding your post to
the dive club officers. Sounds to me like we may need to send someone to the
park REAL EARLY to at least get us a shore-side gear drop area.

Thanks again

   Wade-

Thought you might be interested to know about the situation at Edmonds. I
received the following from a friend of mine:

I don't know if the club that's going to Edmonds is aware of it, but
when I was there just before Christmas they were redoing the shore side
of the parking area, and half of the already scarce parking was
barricaded off and unusable. It may be finished by now, I don't know.
Just so they know that parking may be a problem.

Just thought I'd pass it along. Hope to see you soon!

   Ellen

     Ellen,

I don't know who gave me your email address. My guess is that someone in
our dive club knows you or has been diving with you. I got home with a couple
of email addresses scribbled on the margin of a notepad. Sorry I don't remember
the source.

We dive all over, mostly Seattle and Hoodsport areas. At the end of this
month we're diving Edmonds Underwater Park, if you care to join us, let me know
and I'll provide details. In fact you're also welcome to join us next Thursday
evening at Stuft Pizza. The dive club meets the second Thurs of each month.
We'd love to see you there.

     Thanks
     Wade

Yes, I would like my name listed in the Oregon Dive Buddy Listing. Let me
know if you need any further information. Just curious, how did you get my
name?

I see we are fairly close to each other, Tualatin and Tigard. Where do
you usually go diving? Maybe we can get together sometime.

Susan,

As far as I know you and I are the only ones hooked up to the list server.
Guess we should just be sending email back and forth (smirk).

I don't know how you subscribed to the list. If you subscribed by sending an
email command (subscribe command) then you probably missed an interesting part
of onelist.

When you have some time to explore, go to the main page of onelist
(www.onelist.com) and do a "search" for the word "scuba". There are literally
hundreds of scuba lists on onelist. I was amazed at the volume.

Oh well, it's late.

good night
Wade

Well the list appears to be working on this end.

Are there any others on the list with us yet?

This worked to me. Let's see if it goes back. Susan, if you read this, I
changed your status to Moderator.
