Description

This group's purpose is to be an open forum for discussions on opals and gems and as platform for announcements of activities of the American Opal Society headquartered in Orange County, California. The club meets on the second Thursday of each month in Garden Grove, California. Guests are always welcome at our meetings. Come join us for an interesting speaker. For a map and general information please see our web site at http://opalsociety.org. The American Opal Society is an non-profit organization, educational in nature, whose primary purpose is promoting interest and knowledge of this precious gem. If you are an Opalholic (i.e. passionate opal lover), the American Opal Society is for you!!! We pursue the study and sharing of information about OPAL. Our membership is world wide and has many artisans, dealers, miners, collectors, etc. as members.
