Much afraid, the main character, amid all her fumbling weak personality has an
utter devotion and love for the shepherd (jesus). THis quality makes her an
ideal beginning place for christians. We start out in following jesus with not
much more than a will to do good. It is the shepherd's own work and the trials
of life that purify away the imperfections which beset us. The story is a love
story.
