The On30 Conspiracy is once again the biggest, busiest and best O Scale forum on the Internet. Why? Because On30 is funner, less serious and less expensive than O, Proto48, On36 (On3) or On24 (On2).
O Scale trains on HO Gauge track represents 30" gauge. Although there were only a few 30" gauge railroads in the United States and Canada, there were many more in Cuba, Mexico and other parts of the world. In all, there were probably more 30" gauge railroads than 36" and 24" combined.
The On30 Conspiracy promotes modeling any real or imaginary 30" gauge railroad as well as any 24" gauge or 36" gauge railroad in On30.
Imagine what might have happened if the American narrow gauge railroads had standardized on 30" gauge and survived and expanded instead of fading away....
Today, more and more manufacturers are introducing 24" and 36" gauge railroad equipment in On30 and any modeler can capture the distinctive flavors and feelings of those Maine, Pennsylvania, Colorado, California and Alaska narrow gauge lines in On30.
For the purists who insist on accurate 24" or 36" track gauge and true-scale modeling, there are several other groups that will welcome you but for those who appreciate the convenience of operating any 36", 30" or 24" gauge equipment on the same track, you might want to check out the On30 Conspiracy first.
Come on in and see why On30 is the fastest growing segment of model railroading. Just dont get too serious, because On30 is all about having fun with our trains and ourselves.
New members are welcome but, because of spammers, if you apply to join the Conspiracy, include your full name and general location in your private comments to the List Owner.
