This group is for the discussion of the State of Ohio Multi-Agency Radio Communications System (MARCS) and the new version, MARCS-IP, the P25 system now being installed in various locations around Ohio.

MARCS is a Motorola Type II SmartZone/Omnilink system with 100% digital audio, while MARCS-IP is a true P25 system. The following scanners can be used to track the systems:

GRE: PSR-500, PSR-600
Radio Shack: Pro-106, Pro-197, Pro-96, Pro-2096
Uniden: BC250D, BC785D, BC296D, BC796D, BCD396T, BCD996T

Other models will not work.

MARCS-IP is a full Project 25 digital system which can be scanned with all of the above except the BC250D and BC785D.
