YOU ARE ENTERING A POLEMICS-FREE ZONE. Occidentalis, moderated by a Russian Orthodox priest, is the largest internet forum for discussing Western rite in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Members of all jurisdictions, and all interested Christians, may participate. The membership roll is not viewable by the members.

Two features are Celtic and Old English Saints, posted daily, and Daily Ordo, posted occasionally, which explains the services for the day according to the Roman rite of the Russian Church. All rites that were/are used by Orthodox Christians can be discussed. Differing viewpoints are not censored, as long as they meet the guidelines.

English is the main language, but Latin, German, and Spanish may also be used. The focus is on sharing liturgical texts, news, church life of Western rite communities, and maintaining kindly Christian conduct. Jurisdictional questions, which are of great importance, are best discussed on larger groups oriented for that.
