Other Worlds Writers' Workshop, a mutual submission-and-critique workshop for writers in adult science fiction and fantasy, aiming at professional publication, no matter their skill level. Those who believe in art for art's sake and do not want to destroy their artistic integrity by pandering to commercial forces, or who are writing largely for the sheer fun of it, will find us uncongenial, because we tend to crit tough. We have rank beginners, and we have novelists "currently under consideration," and publishing pros, but we all aim at professional, not hobby or literary, criteria.

18 and over only, please. Membership is now moderated. Anything you put in a text box for Yahoo has zero effect: we never read it. You MUST Reply to the "pending.txt" message appropriately to be admitted.

Do not post an introduction of yourself. They serve no purpose, since so many people seem to join, intro, and leave. Your crits are your intro.

New members are warned not to submit any of their work until *after* they have made themselves familiar with the rules of the workshop, the critting style of the workshop, and have completed the new-member minimums.

All messages are moderated, and read by one or the other moderator before being released to the list. Ads for vanity press, hard copy or electronic, "show off your work" sites, or "communal anthologies" (all vanity press forms) will get the poster banned immediately.
