Organized Parents for Educational Normalcy (OPEN) is an organization of parents who believe that public engagement, community support and networked resources are essential to the success of public education in the City of St. Louis. OPEN works to recruit families to the St. Louis Public Schools, focuses positive attention on St. Louis Public Schools, and fosters proactive social connections in order to ensure a quality and equitable public education for all our children.

• We believe that quality public education is fundamental to a democratic, civil, and prosperous St. Louis

• We support St. Louis Public School Board members and administrators whose focus is on improving education for our children.

• We call for thorough, fair, and accurate news coverage of the St. Louis Public Schools

• We promote educational opportunities that do not use vouchers, tuition tax credits, or any programs which divert public resources or divide the potential constituency from the St Louis Public Schools

• We value the improvement of the St Louis Public Schools for every child, not just our own
