This closed, semi-moderated discussion list is for Sisters and Brothers of all Masonic Jurisdictions who have a desire to share or receive light on the teachings of the Order of the Eastern Star. You must be currently affiliated with a Chapter, even though your Jurisdiction may not be currently recognized by some others represented here. The list is co-moderated by Sister Carolyn J. The List is for learning and research ONLY. Posts should contain either a question or comment relating to the Masonic Order. All messages go directly to the list, but infractions of posting protocol can result in being dropped.

In your signature, always remember to list your Chapter and location; it helps to put your responses in perspective for members in other states and countries.

Information from posts can be shared, but do not forward posts from List to others, and DO NOT CROSS-POST to other lists. This is a list closed to membership except for Sisters and Brothers in a Chapter OES. Other lists are sometimes of open membership, not requiring Masonic affiliation of any kind, and this allows our List to speak more freely about OES teachings.

Refrain from posts listing Commercial Sites, unless they relate to the Masonic Order.

Whenever possible, include your source(s) of information.

Members should refrain from sending inspirational posts, as most are on Lists where they receive this information already.

Refrain from posts of virus updates, incredibly amazing opportunities, urgent danger, urban legends, or lost children. These will cause you to be dropped from the list. Contact the list owner for verification of these.

Above all, MEMBERS SHOULD AGREE TO DISAGREE (remember, we come from many jurisdictions and our Constitutions, laws, and customs may differ, and we all get different things from the Order), and have fun as you learn
