| Dear Carol: So you know, you've got at least one friend. I like whatever you're doing over there. Yeah, maybe the paint isn't environmentally friendly, but you're up to something interesting. You're passionate about something. I can tell because I felt the same way when I opened up a storefront in Nyack in 2004. You've piqued my interest. I really want to know what you're up to. You must be feeling really lousy. You've probably put everything you have into creating this little space. You thought you were doing something cool with this "mural." It never occurred to you that it would be received like this. "How could there be a problem doing what I want to do with my own window? Isn't Nyack a hip, artsy town? Why don't you all get it? Isn't this window adding something fun and exciting to this little town? Why are these people so angry with me? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!" You'll learn the answer to this last question as you go along. Until then, good luck chasing your dream. And do yourself a favor by not engaging your critics on this board. There's not much upside in trying.
