North Texas Natural Learners (NTNL) is a progressive, secular support and activity group for unschoolers and other homeschoolers in Denton, TX.

We maintain this yahoo group to facilitate communication between the parent members of the group who meet regularly in person with our kids. Please don't apply to join NTNL if you do not live in or around Denton, or if you are looking for web-based support for homeschooling.

Our group was started as a community for families for whom the statements of faith or codes of conduct present in many homeschool groups were an issue. We do not base membership on religion, race, sexuality, family design, or homeschooling approach. In general, our population is liberal both socially and politically.

We ask that potential new members come and spend a few gatherings with us so that both the new member and the existing members can ensure that the group is a good fit for the new family.
