Description

North Texas Free-mo was established in November 2008. Since that time we have grown from concept to an operational Free-mo group holding our first setup in September of 2009. We are still in the building phase of our group and our modules. The majority of our modules model the mid-west though there is no specified requirement to model such.

North Texas Free-mo strictly follows the Free-mo standard and is here to promote that standard, prototype modeling, and camaraderie among HO modelers. We welcome all who believe in the same.

Our yahoo! email list is open to anyone interested in the Free-mo standard or prototype modeling. Membership is now moderated due to recent spam attacks.

Re: Tortoise Switch Machines
So I understand that you use the track bus to power the tortoises (tortoii?). You are absolutely correct about the 3&4 pinouts. They are indeed as you stated.

According to Tortoise's instruction track DC works but slower and quieter (I use this method).  Also, pole #2 & #3 are from the track and the Tortoise

Thanks to all for your comments. I was curious about the push buttons. Later I found some push button (on,on) dpdt switches but they are much more expensive
