This is a forum for the Fort Collins area to share ideas and information about the use of vegetable oil in vehicles and other engines. Good for the environment and good for us! Let's discuss what the goals of the Coop should be.

We’re just getting organized and are looking for people who are interested in the following objectives:

Use of more sustainable fuels in vehicles
Save money on fuel
Collaborate with others to:
- Adapt vehicles to run on waste veg oil
- Help each other design and install veg oil systems for vehicles
- Collect and filter waste veg oil – share equipment to do this
- Store filtered oil at one or more locations
- Work with restaurants to arrange regular pickup of oil at their businesses. Provide some benefit to these restaurants
- Network and share ideas

Priorities for the Coop:
- Build a solar heated storage shed
- Research how other Co-op's administer themselves
- Find sources of waste vegetable oil for the Co-op
- Seek potential grants for the Co-op
- Provide educational presentations at future meetings on a variety of related topics
- Network and share ideas
- Other priorities?

Accomplishments to Date:
- Custom collection trailer with on-board pump for the Coop
- 55 gallon centrifuge filter system for the Coop
- Acquired storage containers for oil
- Received donated equipment for lifting barrels
- Have multiple restaurants donating their waste oil
- Established a physical location for the Coop
- Donations and volunteer labor from Coop members
- Regular meetings
- A lot of collaboration among Coop members and with other organizations
