NoCAPS, which stands for Northern California Painters, is a forum where Northern California decorative painters, teachers and shop owners can share information about painting events such as shop locations, sales, painting classes, painting seminars and other related painting get-togethers, as well as any information related to decorative painting. It covers the Northern California area from Monterey to the Oregon border.

Owned by Kathy Dysert of Willits, NoCAPS is currently a semi-moderated list. Anyone is welcome to join with the stipulation that they include their first name, last name, city and e-mail address on their eGroups profile. At this time, this information is only available to the owner as an added security feature for members. Email addresses are never provided to others for any purpose by the list owner.

This list does not tolerate exclusivity or judgments of persons or groups based on sex, age, race, lifestyle or religion. It also will not tolerate flaming, unethical statements or spamming. If a member is hosting any kind of painting event or produces a painting related product, they may feel free to send one unsolicited email message to the group for informational purposes only, may place their event on the NoCAPS calendar, place their website in NoAPS Links, add to the database, or upload a relevant file to the NoCAPS files. Abuse will result in immediate banning from the list and a possible warning to the membership as a whole.

Members may choose to receive their messages automatically, via daily digest, or just off of the web site. Please be aware
that the digest form does not support photographs while the other two formats will show attachments.
