Description

A Discussion Group Focused upon Jewish Customs. This group is intended to honour the Traditions, the Legacies, and the History of various Jewish Subcultures amongst Ashkenazic Sephardic, Teimani, etc. with all of their corresponding sub-groups.
While it is legitimate to demonstrate that a given Custom is indeed a Minhag Ta'us, it must be done via objective sources, or persuasive logic [rayos bruros or svara]. We are not intending to flame either the Customs themselves nor the members. Our aim is to enlighten the community via insights and sources that may foster deeper understanding of hour heritage.
Secondarily, while certain customs are unique to a given community, the ubiquitous presence of local customs amongst all communities actually gives us common cause to pause.
Let's be stimulating while remaining courteous.

Sincerely,
Rabbi Richard Wolpoe
