Description

Amazing schools, great learning programs and wonderful learning environments - a Paradigm Shift in Education & Learning is taking place!

We want to collect great formal and informal programs and projects that educators and students can run to innovate their school and community.

Not theory but ALIVE examples that are well documented for sharing and application!
>>> great learning programs for use in schools and youth groups
>>> remarkable international activities and programs to join
>>> amazing & alternative schools
>>> informal learning environments and institutions
>>> new online-based co-learning opportunities
>>> traditional learning activities from other cultures
>>> learning for practical stuff like starting and running your own eco-village or permaculture garden
>>> nomadic universities, youth camps, movements ...

---> and we want to make it accessible in special sections in PNYV! E-zine, in special, free publications for download.

Some examples of what is already happening:

Young people are looking for alternative learning environments and meet in nomadic, university camps. Visionaries open new institutions and hold global learning session on the internet. Primary schools start changing their communities and start international development cooperation programs with their peers 10,000 miles away.

Schools get together to transform their yards into LearnScapes, state schools rip down their classroom walls, private schools get rid of lessons altogether, alternative schools let students decide what they want to learn, a famous school system's ministry of education cannot pass any new law without consent of the national student council, and the same country's students can have their self-designed curricula tested on a chosen school's full generation of students! And only 10% of applicants are actually aloowed to start teacher training studies at university.
