This e-recycling group serves the West Nevada County Area of the Northern Sierra Range in California. Membership is free.

Founded May 18th, 2004, we join many individuals across the globe in a grassroots effort to electronically recycle our unwanted but still useful stuff, gifting items freely to one another in support of our local community and our precious Nevada County environment.

We are sister group to Nevada County Thrift Swap. We, also, support and encourage the use of CIWMB's Cal-Max, and Nevada Co. Max recycling programs, as well as Habitat for Humanity's ReStores.

The moderators here volunteer their time to share responsibility for the group, facilitating our community's efforts. No one here, then or now, receives any monetary benefit from this group's existence or in its function. We give our time, in the spirit of generosity, to our community in service to each fellow member and to affirm our belief in a better world achieved through sharing our unneeded materiel wealth in a cooperative effort to keep it in use and out of the World's waste stream.

We are your friends and neighbors; a small local group, and we claim local sovereignty. We are currently listed as an autonomous affiliate of the Freesharing.org free recycling network.
We support all local grassroots efforts to reduce wastes in our local environments and are not restricted by corporate political intrigue and self interest.

If we keep it local and keep it simple, one person's trash can truly be another person's treasure! Help us discover "gifts of gold" in our Gold Country "garbage!"
