GEC Computers in the Classroom
I think this is the intended meaning of this acronym:
General Education Council (GEC)
<
http://www.sfsu.edu/~senate/documents/committee/coc02-03.pdf>
Nevertheless, this is the intended website:
GEC Computers in the Classroom
<
http://www.gecdsb.on.ca/d&g/>
Look to this web site for information and tips for using the computer
effectively in the classroom.

"To Find a Webquest:
Pick all Webquests by division or by subject area from the popup menu and
then browse until you find something suitable.
The Webquests have been categorized by where they fit into the Ontario
Curriculum. Sometimes, it means the classification may be a little
different from the author's original intention. It also meant not
including a number of great Webquests because they just didn't deal with
any of the Ontario Expectations.
Greater Essex County teachers have written some great Webquests as a
result of Webquest workshops. They can be reached by clicking here or
following the link on the Student Reference Portal. Want to track these
or other webquests on your Palm? Click here (Windows) or here
(Macintosh).
To read more about Webquests, please visit the Webquest Page. "

The object was to find the way through the maze. It stayed on the

Quoting
"But the more I got into it, the better this idea seemed.
I created a custom search and entitled it "Custom Educational Technology
Search Page". The link is available from my home page below or directly
at:
<
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=001073648443141672080%3Awqitrpd2-kw>
It seemed to me this would be a great use of the technology to create a
custom page of places to go when you need something in terms of
Educational Technology and you don't have the time to wade your way
through the entire Google Search. So, I added a few of my favourites.
One of the features is that you can have an open invitation to anyone to
add their own links. So, I'm challenging all Edtechers to head over to
that site and add a link to where YOU go when you are searching for
Educational Technology answers."
The custom search can also be found on the GEC Computers in the Classroom
Home Page
<
http://www.gecdsb.on.ca/d&g/index.htm>
Showing the art of searching this tool Doug Peterson has created and for
which I vote ResourceShelf and LII as tools to add, here is a sample
search, artfully done on this new custom search engine.
