This is a belly dance group inspired by the visionary dance work that Delilah has cultivated and supported over the many years as well as the work of others in the same vein. The over all goals are to be of service to the community in times of celebration and healing. We do baby, wedding showers, births, welcome to the planet celebrations, seasonal celebrations, wakes, political action, girl scout meetings, children's hospital, assisted living facilities, birthdays, anniversaries, divorce, new beginnings, galleries, theater shows, parades, street fairs. . .

We are all dedicated to the healing and empowering value of belly dance in women's lives and we go further to convey it is also important to the lives of our families and greater community. Belly dance, ritual, art and open bellies and hearts brings vitality back to the present moment of our real life experiences.

This group is set up to share information and develop beyond what we cold do individually.

The group has a close knit core, peopled by those showing enthusiasm, energy and interest and an by an out ring of dancers who have experienced some of Delilah's Neighborhood Temple Priestess course work over the years and are interested by in following along and maybe getting involved occasionally. Members can be in Seattle and most definitely from out of Seattle and in other countries since Delilah's retreats, tours, DVD's and workshops have touch so many dancers through varying media.
Neighborhood Temple activities are often held at Delilah's studio. The priestess have a duty to help support the temple. This means helping by doing occasional fund raisers to pay for the high rent and over head associated with VDP Studios in Seattle. We all must value the beautiful place we have to dance.
The name "Neighborhood Temple Priestess is also becoming a label for fund raising products developed for studio support by Delilah and Priestesses.
