Description
This is the Yahoo group for the Northwest Pacific Seacraft Owners Association (NPSOA), which has been going strong since the early 1990's!
The group is for anybody who has, or is interested in, Pacific Seacraft sailboats, in the Pacific Northwest. We have rendezvous' several times a year, mostly in Puget Sound. This a fun group of folks who like to sail, tell stories, and enjoy their boats.
LAST RENDEZVOUS: The summer rendezvous was September 3rd, 4th & 5th, in Mystery Bay State Park in Kilisut Harbor across from Port Townsend. It was hosted by Carl and Patti Kirby on the Dana 24 "Tonic". The only other boat to attend was Windward Pilgrim skippered by John Hazen. I speculate that the low turnout was at least partially due to confusion regarding the Seacraft Yacht Sales rendezvous, which was scheduled around the same time but was ultimately cancelled.
NEXT RENDEZVOUS
Date: Weekend of April 7th, 2012
Location: Port of Palsbo Marina (http://portofpoulsbo.com/) - please call and make your own reservations
Dinner: Saturday the 7th at Casa Luna restaurant - meet in the marina parking lot at 6pm.
Sponsor: John Hazen on the mighty Flicka Windward Pilgrim - you can call him for details at (425) 417-6782
Theme: "Resolution Rendezvous" - after dinner each boat will have the opportunity to resolve to visit a new place this year!
OLD "SEA TALK" NEWSLETTERS ARE NOW ON-LINE! Thanks to Chris Hunter who scanned seventy-one newsletters, starting in 1989 and continuing through 2006, you can download and read these valuable historical documents. Besides providing a great history of the group they also have a lot of good information about cruising destinations and boat projects. Access them by clicking on "Files" link on the left hand side of the page.
