Description

Welcome to Northwest Georgia Charlotte Mason Homeschoolers.

This e-group was established to provide an online community for all new and veteran home educators that have adopted a Charlotte Mason approach. Currently we serve members from Bartow, Cobb, Cherokee, Douglas and Paulding County. Our reason for hosting so many counties is to keep communication lines open to share ideas and information across this region of Georgia.

Membership varies from a few purest to the majority being partial users of Charlotte Mason's methods. This particular group was founded so that *all* homeschoolers in this region can offer support and share ideas with each other without judgment on how CM methods and philosophies are being applied, regardless of the teaching approach they are currently using in their own family's home education system.

Another purpose for establishing this e-group was to enhance online communication between individuals so they can ask & answer questions, trade & store information. We do ask that the primary focus of our postings remain on Charlotte Mason’s methods and philosophies and members refrain from discussing or announcing about alternative methods of homeschooling.

The philosophy of NWGCMH was founded on the methods and teachings of Charlotte Mason who was a devout Christian woman. This group is in Christian hands and serves members from all different denominations. Criticism and debates regarding matters of faith will not be tolerated. Rather, striving to reflect a tone of respect and appreciation for each other's differences in traditions and practices will be the standard.
