Why is there a sheaf of wheat on our home page?   Message List
Reply Message #28 of 13809 |
Hello Everyone,

First, I want to welcome all of our new members. Twenty-five people joined us
yesterday, including some old and some new friends. It is wonderful to see all
of you. Thanks for coming.

You may have noticed, there is a sheaf of wheat on the NTI Discussion Group
home page. Here's the story behind that picture:

Last summer, I had a dream. I was standing and looking at a wheat field that
stretched as far as the eyes could see. As I looked on the wheat field I heard a
thought, "The cover of the book is to be this color." A few weeks later, I had
the same dream again.

I am not an artist, so I called Phil Frisk, who is. I asked him if he would
design a wheat-colored cover for NTI. He agreed. We didn't talk about it again
and a couple of months passed, then I had another dream. In this dream I was
talking to a young man who seemed to have some authority over the cover of the
book. I was telling him that the logo for the Foundation for the Holy Spirit
needed to be on the cover. He disagreed. I told him that the copyright for NTI
belonged to the foundation, so the logo must be on the cover. He said that
wouldn't do. I continued to insist, and he continued to say no. Then, he reached
in his files and pulled out a picture of a sheaf of wheat. He said that this was
the picture that was to be on the cover.

That morning, I got up and groggily made my way to the computer with a cup of
coffee in my hand and my hair still a mess from the night's sleep. I opened my
inbox and opened the first email I saw. It was an email from Phil Frisk. The
draft NTI book cover was attached. Right in the center of the cover, he had
included the picture of the sheaf of wheat from my dream.

~ ~ That was a Wow! moment for me ~ ~

What does the sheaf of wheat represent? NTI Matthew and NTI Revelation talk
about a harvest, which is the separating of the wheat from the chaff. The chaff
is everything that is illusory. We are to let everything illusory go. NTI
Revelation says that everything in the world is illusory, and it gets very
specific about the roots of illusion, which must be let go if everything
illusory is to be let go. This letting go is the harvest. And then, NTI
Revelation says:

"Do not make the mistake of seeing the harvest as an event in your future, for
always the harvest is now. There is no time and there is no future. To wait on
time is to delay the harvest, which is now."

This is what the sheaf of wheat seems to represent. It is the harvest in the
mind now. It is letting go of illusion now. It is letting go of fear, guilt,
judgment and illusory independent thinking now. It is also accepting the grain
now, which is accepting trust, willingness and the true desire of our heart now.
It is representative of everything we have come to the spiritual path for. It is
symbolic of the practice of awakening now. It is symbolic of awakening now.

Enjoy the harvest. It's what we've come for.

With Love,

Regina

As we place our attention upon the wheat, that which is chaff blows away on the wind of its own and is remembered no more. Rather than attempting to remove...
