Description

The Neighborhood Ark idea (Ark=spiritual, social, and economic infrastructure) is simple. While there are global and national issues that we face, ultimately, a major part of building a spiritually-based, sustainable world civilization begins with each of us, in our family, and in our immediate neighborhood.

This forum is for those who are already active in their household and neighborhood (3 block radius around your home) and for those who want to find out how to begin. For those living in Northern Nevada.

Please come and share what you are doing to build an Ark in your neck of the woods. How did you start? Potluck, block party, walking your dogs? Share how you are preparing for the coming economic times? Are you growing food for your family in your yard, a greenhouse, or in a community garden-maybe sharing with neighbors? How are you helping your neighbors "in need"-- seniors who are alone; youth in need of mentoring, and others. Share stories of people connecting with each other---such as sharing resources and skills on your street.

"Love God and Neighbor" has always been the common teaching of all religions and spiritual ideals--out of necessity, it just got practical!
