New Mexico Orienteers is a new club based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico. We held our first meet on June 7, 2003. Orienteering is the sport of navigation with map and compass. We currently have one map at this point (a second map is in development), it covers a large area so we utilize only a portion of it for each meet. We have drawn participants from various parts of Central and Northern New Mexico, and neighboring states, and participants have ranged in age from 5 to the 70's.
