Guidelines for Submitting Information to the NHEN Clearinghouse

The NHEN Clearinghouse provides a service where information submitted by
subscribers including news, announcements, questions, and media and research
requests relating to homeschooling can be distributed to our subscribers and to
the greater homeschooling community.

Posts should be topical, short, to-the-point and informational. Although
questions and brief answers are appropriate, and encouraged, any further
discussion is beyond the scope of this service. Please save our moderators time
by self-monitoring your submissions.

Submissions to the NHEN Clearinghouse should include:

1. A brief announcement, news item, question, or request

a. Please include only pertinent data that is on topic for this service
(see description above).
b. If the post is about a media resource please provide a brief summary
of the information contained in the resource.
c. If the post is about an event please provide all the pertinent data:
Date, time, location (including city and state information).
d. If the post is time sensitive please include the words "Time
Sensitive" in the subject line.
e. If you have a question related to information previously provided
through the clearinghouse please provide the date and url of the original post.
f. If you are answering a question posted on the clearinghouse please
provide the date and url of the original post.

2. Your submission should also include information about who to contact
for more information.

3. Submissions should be sent to NHEN@yahoogroups.com

By submitting information to this service you are giving permission to NHEN to
send it to our subscribers in whole or in part, or, if it does not fit the
stated purpose or submission guidelines, to not forward it at all. Posts
regarding legal and legislative homeschooling issues and information may be
referred to the NHEN Legislative Clearinghouse. If your post is referred to
NHEN-LegClearinghouse, you will be notified via email.

Information submitted will be sent to subscribers on a timely basis but, as this
service is provided by busy, homeschooling volunteers, there may be delays from
time to time.
